Accurate Data Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accurate Data Specialist to join our Geomatics team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of our survey work products.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Sign and Seal Survey Documents: You will be responsible for signing and sealing survey documents, taking full professional responsibility for the work.
  • Project Planning and Coordination: You will plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate the technical aspects of projects, including managing survey projects.
  • Client Engagement: You will engage regularly with clients to discuss current projects, evaluate firm performance, and identify other business opportunities.
  • Team Leadership: You may serve as the leader on the team, coordinating activities of field crews, including providing job assignments, information, direction, and daily checking of work product.
  • Business Development: You will assist with business development, proposal preparation, project management, and final review for all surveys prepared (QA/QC).
Your Capabilities and Credentials
  • Effective Leadership and Communication: You will demonstrate effective leadership and communication skills, working efficiently with a team and clients.
  • Advanced Knowledge of Surveying Principles: You will require advanced knowledge of local survey laws, surveying principles, techniques, and procedures, occupational hazards, and safety precautions.
  • Technical Skills: You will demonstrate intermediate to advanced skills in survey processing software and working knowledge of relevant technical software, including AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: You will be able to solve complex problems using sound professional judgment, creativity, and innovation.
  • Mathematical Skills: You will demonstrate strong math skills, including algebra and trigonometry.
Education and Experience

We are looking for a candidate with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Geomatics, Surveying, or a related field and Licensed by state/province in Land Surveying or equivalent Licensure. A minimum of 7 years of experience is required.

This is a typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements, including inclement weather.
