Job Title: Diesel Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Transdev, a leading provider of passenger transportation services in North America.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of vehicles, including Gillig, New Flyer, Orion transit buses, Ford, Chevy, Dodge light trucks, and vans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform preventative maintenance (PMs), safety inspections, and annual maintenance inspections on vehicles.
  • Diagnose and repair vehicle and equipment issues, including brakes, suspensions, engines, drivetrains, transmissions, and other repairs.
  • Assist with road calls and emergency services as needed.
  • Participate in the company ASE certification program and maintain a high level of technical expertise.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of a Class B CDL with an Air Brake indorsement.
  • At least 5 years of experience in automotive and diesel transit bus or heavy truck maintenance and repair.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
