Transdev is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Williamsburg, Virginia. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing our fleet of transit buses and heavy-duty vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform preventative maintenance, safety inspections, and annual maintenance inspections on our fleet of vehicles.
- Diagnose and repair complex issues with brakes, suspensions, engines, drivetrains, and transmissions.
- Ensure work orders are completed accurately and efficiently.
- Assist with road calls and emergency services as needed.
- A minimum of a Class B CDL with an Air Brake endorsement is required.
- Virginia State inspectors license is highly preferred.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in automotive and diesel transit bus or heavy truck maintenance and repair.
- Possess a mechanic's tool set.
- ASE certifications are preferred, and must be willing to participate in the company ASE certification program.
- Subject to DOT drug testing.
- $28-$30/hour based on experience and qualifications.
- $3,000 Sign-On Bonus.
- An additional $0.10/hour for each ASE certification possessed or obtained.
- Company-paid ASE testing and training materials.
