About the Diesel Mechanic Position

Transdev is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Williamsburg, Virginia. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing our fleet of transit buses and heavy-duty vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform preventative maintenance, safety inspections, and annual maintenance inspections on our fleet of vehicles.
  • Diagnose and repair complex issues with brakes, suspensions, engines, drivetrains, and transmissions.
  • Ensure work orders are completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Assist with road calls and emergency services as needed.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of a Class B CDL with an Air Brake endorsement is required.
  • Virginia State inspectors license is highly preferred.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in automotive and diesel transit bus or heavy truck maintenance and repair.
  • Possess a mechanic's tool set.
  • ASE certifications are preferred, and must be willing to participate in the company ASE certification program.
  • Subject to DOT drug testing.
