POSITION SUMMARY

Cadrex is seeking a Procurement Operations Leader who will oversee the entire procurement lifecycle, encompassing sourcing, negotiation, supplier oversight, and contract management.

ROLE OVERVIEW

This position requires a detail-oriented individual with exceptional analytical and negotiation skills to enhance our supply chain efficiency, minimize costs, and foster robust vendor partnerships. By effectively managing procurement activities, you will significantly contribute to our manufacturing processes and fulfill customer requirements.


PRIMARY DUTIES
  • Formulate and execute procurement strategies to guarantee the timely and economical acquisition of materials, components, and services.
  • Identify and assess potential suppliers, perform supplier evaluations, and negotiate advantageous terms and pricing agreements.
  • Maintain supplier relationships, monitor their performance, and resolve any issues to ensure a dependable and high-quality supply chain.
  • Collaborate with various teams, including Engineering, Production, and Quality, to synchronize procurement efforts with project timelines and specifications.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to remain updated on industry trends, pricing variations, and emerging suppliers or technologies.
  • Lead contract negotiations and create agreements that mitigate risks and safeguard the company's interests.
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate supplier performance and drive ongoing improvements.
  • Maintain precise procurement records, monitor purchasing activities, and provide regular updates to management.
  • Stay informed about regulatory requirements and compliance related to procurement and supply chain management.
  • Mentor and develop the purchasing team, promoting a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and continuous development.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Demonstrated experience as a Procurement Operations Leader or in a comparable role within a manufacturing or procurement environment.
  • Comprehensive understanding of procurement principles, best practices, and supplier management techniques.
  • Strong negotiation capabilities, with a track record of achieving cost savings and favorable supplier terms.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in data analysis and supplier performance assessment.
  • Familiarity with supply chain processes, including demand forecasting, inventory control, and logistics.
  • Proficient in procurement software or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to cultivate and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Commitment to ethical sourcing practices, sustainability, and corporate social responsibility.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This role may involve exposure to moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can vary from moderate to loud.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, and communicate effectively. The employee may occasionally need to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
