About the Role

Vermont Electric Cooperative is seeking a seasoned professional to fill the position of Warehouse Services Manager. This key role oversees the entire operations hub, encompassing inventory management, purchasing, fleet management, and facilities. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage vendor and contractor relationships across multiple disciplines, ensuring seamless service delivery to various sites.
  • Develop and maintain strong negotiating skills to secure favorable terms and build rapport with diverse partners.
  • Collaborate with the existing team to drive process improvements and ensure smooth operations.
  • Oversee inventory management, purchasing, and fleet management to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
Requirements
  • Familiarity with the electric utility industry and its inventory needs and terminology.
  • Proven experience in leading teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a track record of resolving vendor issues effectively.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with diverse stakeholders.
  • A degree in Business Administration or a related field is highly desirable.
