Job Overview

Shiver Security is seeking a Fire Safety Inspector to enhance our operational capabilities.

Position Overview: This role entails conducting a variety of inspections, testing equipment, providing maintenance services, and generating reports related to fire alarm systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing service calls to address client needs
  • Executing system tests and inspections in accordance with established standards
  • Delivering on-site emergency troubleshooting and repairs for fire protection systems
  • Preparing precise and timely service documentation and reports
  • Ensuring exceptional customer service and communication
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment both on-site and off-site
  • Collaborating effectively with Administration, Sales, Customers, and Management
  • Carrying out additional duties as required

Qualifications & Skills:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Proficient in installing, inspecting, or servicing fire alarm, suppression, and sprinkler systems independently
  • Outstanding customer service skills for interacting with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Physical capability to perform labor-intensive tasks
  • Ability to utilize small tools as necessary
  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Proficiency in reading and speaking English
  • Possession of a valid Driver's License with a clean driving record

Experience:

  • Previous experience in inspections, field service, or installation within the fire protection sector is mandatory
  • NICET Certification is preferred
  • State of OH Fire Alarm license is preferred
