Job Overview

Shiver Security is seeking a Fire Safety Inspector to enhance our operational capabilities.

Position Overview: This role involves conducting a variety of inspections, testing devices, and delivering maintenance services related to fire alarm systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing service calls as required
  • Testing and inspecting systems according to established standards
  • Providing immediate troubleshooting and repairs for fire protection equipment on-site
  • Generating precise and timely service reports and tickets
  • Ensuring exceptional customer service and effective communication
  • Maintaining a safe and organized work environment both on-site and off-site
  • Collaborating effectively with Administration, Sales, Customers, and Management
  • Executing additional tasks as assigned

Qualifications & Skills:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Proficient in installing, inspecting, or servicing fire alarm, suppression, and sprinkler systems independently
  • Outstanding customer service abilities for engaging with both internal and external clients
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time management capabilities
  • Able to perform physical tasks as needed
  • Competent in using small tools as required
  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Fluent in English
  • Possession of a valid Driver's License with a clean driving record

Experience:

  • Previous experience in inspections, field service, or installation within the fire protection sector is mandatory
  • NICET Certification is preferred
  • State of OH Fire Alarm license is preferred
