Key Responsibilities
  • Client Service
    • Provide technical support and assistance to end-users, ensuring timely resolution of issues and hardware/software needs.
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, fostering trust and confidence in our services.
    • Purchase or assist with acquiring approved hardware and software, ensuring alignment with company standards.
  • Technical Support
    • Design, implement, and support Azure, M365 technologies, global VMware infrastructure, client/server business applications, and server and storage hardware solutions.
    • Follow established standard work and best practices, defining new standard work as necessary.
    • Identify and correct server-related problems caused by hardware/software failures, ensuring minimal downtime.
    • Document configurations, instructions, and troubleshooting guides for Systems Administrator services and supported technologies.
    • Maintain and upgrade infrastructure systems regularly, ensuring optimal performance and security.
    • Investigate, provision, and deploy new technologies and solutions to support business and product growth and development.
  • Project Work
    • Lead technical efforts on Infrastructure Services' projects, following S&C's established project management methodology, processes, and tools.
    • Support project efforts as assigned, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
    • Record time spent on project tasks and completed project tasks in timesheets, maintaining accurate records.
  • Strategic Planning
    • Test and document system behavior, performance, and security, ensuring alignment with company standards.
    • Collaborate with peers and clients to develop hardware/software standards and implementation strategies.
    • Work with IT Leadership to develop financial plans and budgets based on alignment with technological innovation and industry standard advancement.
    • Create detailed architecture designs for next-generation technologies, developing guidelines for enhancements based on current production deployments.
    Requirements
    • A 4-year degree in Information Systems, computer-related field, or equivalent experience.
    • 5 years of experience managing and supporting Microsoft Hybrid Identity (AD and Azure Entra ID) and Microsoft 365 (including Exchange, SharePoint, and Teams).
    • 5 years of experience managing and supporting Windows and Linux servers and on-prem and cloud infrastructure, preferably Azure and VMware.
    • Ability to read, analyze, configure, and make improvement recommendations on managed technologies.
    • Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting various operating systems - Windows Server required, Linux preferred.
    • Experience with virtualization technologies – VMware required, Hyper-V preferred.
    • Proficiency in scripting languages like PowerShell, Bash, or Python for automation.
    • Ability to create technical and financial analysis and proposal documents.
    • Skills to work both independently with no supervision as well as in a team environment.
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Azure and Microsoft 365 Certifications.
    • Strong understanding of network protocols, configurations, and troubleshooting.
    • Understanding of security best practices, including firewall configurations, intrusion detection, and vulnerability assessments.
