Job Description

As a Senior Systems Administrator at S&C Electric, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our global on-premises and cloud server & storage infrastructure and the Microsoft 365 SaaS environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Respond to end-user calls to clarify and assist the client with problem resolution and hardware/software needs.
Engender the confidence of clients that work will be completed at the required level of quality.
Purchase or assist with acquiring approved hardware and software.

Technical Requirements:

Plan, design, and support Azure, M365 technologies (including Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams), global VMware infrastructure, client/server business applications, and server and storage hardware solutions.
Follow established standard work and best practices; define new standard work as appropriate.
Identify and correct server-related problems caused by hardware/software failures.
Document configurations, instructions, and troubleshooting guides for Systems Administrator services and supported technologies.
Maintain and upgrade infrastructure systems regularly.
Investigate, provision, and deploy new technologies and solutions to support business and product growth and development.

What You'll Need To Succeed:

A 4-year degree in Information Systems, computer-related field, or equivalent experience.
5 years of experience managing and supporting Microsoft Hybrid Identity (AD and Azure Entra ID) and Microsoft 365 (including Exchange, SharePoint, and Teams).
5 years of experience managing and supporting Windows and Linux servers and on-prem and cloud infrastructure, preferably Azure and VMware.
Ability to read, analyze, configure, and make improvement recommendations on managed technologies.
Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting various operating systems - Windows Server required, Linux preferred.
Experience with virtualization technologies - VMware required, Hyper-V preferred.
Proficiency in scripting languages like PowerShell, Bash, or Python for automation.
Ability to create technical and financial analysis and proposal document.
Skills to work both independently with no supervision as well as in a team environment.

Preferred:

Azure and Microsoft 365 Certifications.
Strong understanding of network protocols, configurations, and troubleshooting.
Understanding of security best practices, including firewall configurations, intrusion detection, and vulnerability assessments.
