Position Overview

DAK Resources, Inc. is seeking dedicated and skilled Registered Nurses for our Intensive Care Unit.
We welcome applicants from all nursing specialties to join our team.

This role may require adaptability in work schedules and assignments, as our facility operates around the clock. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, capable of engaging with individuals from diverse educational backgrounds and cultures. Collaboration as part of a Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) is essential, and prioritizing patient care is a fundamental expectation.

Key Responsibilities:
The Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit is responsible for delivering both direct and indirect nursing care to patients and their families. The incumbent will adhere to established policies, care standards, and best practices. Demonstrating leadership in enhancing patient care is crucial. The role reports directly to the Nurse Manager of the unit. While primarily based in the Intensive Care Unit, reassignment may occur based on patient care demands.

Compensation:
Starting hourly wage is $49.48 (includes SCA wage).
Licensure:
Must hold a full and unrestricted nursing license from any U.S. State or territory.
Work Schedule:
To be determined during the interview process.

Employment Conditions:
  • U.S. Citizenship is required; non-citizens may only be appointed when qualified citizens are unavailable.
  • Selected candidates for testing designated positions must undergo urinalysis for illegal drug use prior to employment.
  • Selective Service Registration is mandatory for males born after December 31, 1959.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English is essential.
  • Probationary period may be required.
  • Background/security investigation is a prerequisite.
  • Completion of an online onboarding process is necessary.
  • Passing a pre-employment physical examination is required.
  • Participation in the seasonal influenza vaccination program is mandatory for all healthcare personnel.
  • Compliance with the COVID-19 vaccination program is required for all healthcare personnel.
Qualifications:
Applicants may be tentatively selected pending completion of educational or licensure requirements.

Basic Requirements:
  • U.S. Citizenship: Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens.
  • English Language Proficiency: Direct patient care positions require proficiency in basic written and spoken English.
  • Current, full, active, and unrestricted registration as a professional nurse in a U.S. State, Territory, or Commonwealth.
Education:
Graduation from an accredited professional nursing program is required.

Preferred Experience:
Experience in Critical Care is highly valued.

Physical Requirements:
The position demands visual acuity, keen hearing, clear speech, and manual dexterity. The incumbent must be adaptable, capable of managing stress, and able to prioritize tasks based on patient needs. The role involves limited periods of standing, walking, and lifting up to 35 pounds. The incumbent may be exposed to infectious materials and must adhere to safety protocols.
