Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Medical ICU team. As a Medical ICU Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to critically ill patients, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans, and promoting a culture of safety and excellence.
Responsibilities
- Assess, formulate, and prioritize patient care needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, including physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and monitoring patient vital signs.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, identifying and addressing potential safety risks and developing strategies to mitigate them.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices and policies.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams, providing education and support to promote patient understanding and engagement.
Qualifications
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas.
- At least one year of experience as a Registered Nurse in a critical care setting.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Associate's degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing; Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
