Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse 2 to join our team at the University of Miami. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our patients and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver patient-centered care in a culturally sensitive manner, utilizing evidence-based standards of quality, safety, and service.
  • Oversee nurses and allied health staff in their daily practice, ensuring population-specific patient care.
  • Provide therapeutic and chemotherapy injections and infusions in the outpatient setting, assessing patients and evaluating plans for care.
  • Report symptoms and changes in patients' condition and vital signs, modifying treatment plans as needed.
  • Consult with physicians and other healthcare professionals to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
  • Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments, considering patient age and culture during care.
  • Nurture a compassionate environment by providing psychological support and performing patient tests and administering medications within scope of practice.
  • Communicate plan of care in a timely manner to patients and families, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines.
  • Use best practices for transition of patient care and assist in discharge planning.
  • Plan, prioritize, and adjust assignments to accomplish goals and render superior patient care, seeking assistance when needed.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing, BSN required.
  • Valid Florida RN License, BLS/ACLS certifications required.
  • Oncology Nursing Society Chemotherapy & Biotherapy Administration Guidelines provider course, certification.
  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in chemotherapy infusion, Emergency or Critical Care Nursing.
