At Burgess Information Systems, Inc., we are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling all accounts payable transactions, including invoices, expense reports, and other payables.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in accounting and previous experience in an accounting department. They should have advanced skill level with Microsoft Excel formulas and knowledge of general bookkeeping procedures.
Key Responsibilities:- Check employee expense reports for accuracy and process checks for direct deposit.
- Post transactions to journals, ledgers, and other records. May handle incoming calls from vendors regarding payments.
- Sort and distribute incoming mail.
- Process check requests.
- Audit and process credit card bills.
- Match invoices to checks, obtain all signatures for checks, and distribute checks accordingly.
- 1099 maintenance.
- Respond to all vendor inquiries.
- Reconcile vendor statements, research, and correct discrepancies.
- Assist in month-end closing.
- Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices.
- Assist with other projects as needed.
Salary Range: $65,000 - $80,000 per year.
