About the Role:

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Vice Provost for Academic Affairs to join our team at InsideHigherEd. The successful candidate will provide leadership, vision, and strategic direction to the Academic Affairs division, ensuring the highest standards of academic excellence and student success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Academic Affairs division, aligning with the university's mission and goals.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and initiatives to promote academic excellence, student success, and faculty development.
  • Collaborate with faculty, deans, and department heads to advance academic programs, research, and community engagement.
  • Oversee the tenure and promotion processes, ensuring fairness, equity, and consistency.
  • Develop and manage budgets, resources, and personnel to achieve divisional goals and objectives.
  • Represent the Academic Affairs division on university committees, working groups, and external partnerships.

Requirements:

  • Doctorate or terminal degree from an accredited institution of higher education.
  • At least two years of administrative experience as Assistant Provost or above, or five years of administrative experience as a dean or associate dean and five years of prior university teaching experience.
  • Qualifications meriting appointment at the rank of Full Professor (Tenured).
