Sun Chemical, a leading producer of packaging and graphic solutions, color and display technologies, functional products, electronic materials, and products for the automotive and healthcare industries, is seeking a highly skilled Quality Control Color Tech to join our team in Atlanta, GA.

Job Summary

The Quality Control Color Tech must be detail-oriented, have strong data analysis and color management experience, and excellent communication skills. This candidate must be adept in conducting root cause analysis and driving continuous improvement. The role involves working in both laboratory and manufacturing environments, ensuring product quality, and supporting cross-functional needs of the manufacturing team.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for running all QC tests and reporting results.
  • Must be able to enter data into computer systems, keep good records, and perform work with minimum supervision safely and effectively.
  • Maintains work accuracy at a high level of expertise to ensure the procedures are accurately followed and results properly recorded.
  • Performs all work in a safe manner by knowing and reviewing both laboratory and plant safety rules.
  • Utilize appropriate PPE as needed.
  • Ensures SOP's (tests and specifications), information systems, calibration programs, ISO requirements and company procedures are adequately implemented and maintained to ensure compliance with all company QMS requirements.
  • Possess excellent communication skills.
  • Expresses a good attitude by working with others, developing solid team performance, communicates clearly and effectively and meets organizational goals.
  • Uses data analysis to identify and correct product issues. Able to perform limited formulation of WIP with supervision.
  • Contributes to improvement teams and training new staff.
Education & Experience
  • HS Diploma/GED
  • 3+ years related experience in Production/Manufacturing
  • 3+ lab/QC experience required
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Worked with SAP for QC data entry.
