Foster Farms is seeking a highly skilled Sanitarian-3rd Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of our plant, packaging, and processing machines, while maintaining compliance with USDA regulations and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare machinery for cleaning, removing materials and placing them in designated containers.
- Remove barrels, totes, and other containers from the machine area, closing valves, opening doors, lids, drains, and water valves.
- Break down, disassemble, and loosen nuts, screws, belts, and remove machine parts, conveyors, guard rails, lids, doors, and guards.
- Blow down production equipment, conveyors, and machinery with compressed air tools as required.
- Scrape material from machine parts, shovel excess into totes, and soak parts as needed.
- Apply cleaning and sanitizing solutions, scrub surfaces, and parts.
- Use high-pressure hoses to clean and rinse machines and parts, squeegee floors, and clear floor drains.
- Dry tools, equipment, machines, walls, floors, and reassemble machinery as required.
- Secure equipment, perform general housekeeping duties, and complete required paperwork at the end of each shift.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. You will also need to be physically fit and able to lift heavy equipment and materials.
