Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Services Aide to join our team at MLK Community Healthcare. As an Environmental Services Aide, you will play a critical role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our patients, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Confidentiality and Patient Safety: Safeguard and preserve the confidentiality of patients and protected health information in accordance with state and federal regulations, hospital, and departmental policies.
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean assigned work areas with the correct chemicals and equipment, and maintain a bacteriological safe environment in all areas of the hospital.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Demonstrate the ability to maintain all equipment in the assigned work area, ensuring it is in safe, clean, and proper working order.
  • Communication and Reporting: Pick up communication tools/equipment by signing in and out at the beginning and ending of each shift, and report any damage to the supervisor.
  • Additional Duties: Complete other duties as assigned by the Director/Supervisor.
Requirements
  • Education: High school graduate or GED preferred.
  • Experience: Hospital environmental services experience highly preferred. Six (6) months experience in a guest-centric fast-paced environment, customer service, hotel, or hospitality experience preferred.
  • Skills: Basic housekeeping skills with the ability to operate a vacuum cleaner. Previous experience/training in auto scrubber, burnishes, and buffers. Basic windows and mouse skills preferred.
