Staff Nurse II, Transport PICU

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Staff Nurse II to join our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) team at Sutter Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide direct patient care to critically ill children and their families, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
Responsibilities- Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to pediatric patients with complex medical conditions, including respiratory, cardiac, and neurological disorders.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring seamless transitions and continuity of care.
- Conduct thorough assessments, identify patient needs, and prioritize interventions to optimize patient outcomes.
- Administer medications, perform procedures, and utilize advanced life support skills as needed.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure informed decision-making and promote patient satisfaction.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices.
- Associate Degree of Nursing or higher.
- Current RN licensure in California.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) certification.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse in a PICU or acute care setting.
- Previous experience in a pediatric intensive care unit.
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- A competitive hourly rate of $77.30 to $104.61.
