Staff Nurse II

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Staff Nurse II to join our team at Sutter Health. As a Staff Nurse II, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced acute care setting. You will work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to deliver holistic and individualized care to patients and their families.
Responsibilities:
- Assess, coordinate, and evaluate patient care to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans that incorporate psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle factors.
- Foster and maintain collaborative relationships with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare providers.
- Adhere to hospital policies, industry standards, and applicable laws and regulations to promote an optimal patient experience.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- RN - Registered Nurse of California.
- BLS - Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider.
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Provider preferred.
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support.
- NIHSS - National Institute of Health Stroke Scale.
Preferred Experience:
- 2 years of recent relevant experience.
- Department: SPA/PACU, 2 years RN with at least six months of prior experience in PACU, ED, or ICU in a multiple specialty acute care facility within the last two years.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Demonstrated general knowledge and competence with regard to nursing theories, concepts, and practices.
- Working knowledge of the healthcare industry, safety precaution policies, best practices regarding patient care and privacy, and changes in local/state/federal regulations.
- Possess written and verbal communications skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences.
- Time management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize patient care, assignments, and work within standardized policies, procedures, and practices to achieve objectives and meet time-sensitive activities.
Work Environment:
This is a full-time position working nights with a 12-hour shift. The schedule is variable, with every other weekend required. Benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a 401(k) plan.
