Job Title: Director of Supplier Relations

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Director of Supplier Relations to join our team at Consolidated Electrical Distributors, Inc. (CED). As a key member of our Supplier Relations Department, you will play a critical role in strengthening our relationships with our 150+ key suppliers and negotiating annual programs that drive business growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to drive business growth and profitability
  • Interface with CED's Region, District/Division, and Profit Center Managers to support their requests within our key supplier group
  • Organize and facilitate multiple supplier business meetings and dinners during regional and national NAED conferences
  • Reconcile supplier rebates (merchandise credits) on a quarterly and/or annual basis
  • Develop purchase analysis reports for key suppliers to monitor performance with CED
  • Support, supervise, and assist in the training of the Supplier Relations Administrative Assistant
  • Provide occasional support to the Director of National Accounts

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Five years experience in the electrical distribution industry
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written language skills in English
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ten years experience in the electrical distribution industry
  • Management experience in electrical distribution as a supplier or distributor
  • Previous involvement in electrical distribution functions and/or NAED meetings

Working Conditions:

This position operates primarily in person in a professional office environment which may require sitting for extended periods. Travel will be required, both by air and by car.
