Role Overview

This is a full-time on-site role for a Litigation Paralegal at Carpenter & Zuckerman. The successful candidate will assist the litigation team in trial preparation, working under moderate supervision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Propound and respond to written discovery, ensuring timely and accurate communication with all parties involved.
  • Utilize calendaring and case management software to calendar all dates, ensuring seamless coordination with the litigation team.
  • Monitor statute of limitation dates for filing lawsuits and government claim deadlines, guaranteeing compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Prepare summons, complaints, statements of damages, applications for publication, and other essential documents, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Schedule depositions, hearings, and QMEs, coordinating with all relevant parties to ensure smooth execution.
  • Order medical reports and organize case management statements, maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to the team's success.

Requirements

  • Strong command of the English language, including excellent spelling, grammar, punctuation, form, and style.
  • Thorough knowledge of the Code of Civil Procedure, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Ability to compose clear and concise correspondence, communicating effectively with all parties involved.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a Plaintiff Personal Injury Litigation Firm, demonstrating a strong understanding of the industry and its challenges.
  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience in a related field, showcasing a solid educational foundation and relevant skills.
