We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Civil Litigation Paralegal to join our team at AGG Legal Staffing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting our lawyers in all stages of litigation, primarily supporting the firm\u2019s trial team.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate complex litigation files, including calendar management and deadline tracking.
  • Draft correspondence, pleadings, and discovery under attorney direction.
  • Proactively monitor files and escalate/prioritize issues requiring attorney involvement.
  • Draft pretrial and trial documents, including lists of jury instructions and exhibit and witness lists.
  • Prepare binders for mediations, depositions, and trials.
  • Organize and analyze discovery and documentary evidence.
  • Review and prepare medical chronologies and summaries of medical records and deposition testimony.
  • Prepare and handle tracking and disposition of subpoenas or other requests for information.
  • Ensure the organization of files, including maintenance and management of all documents.
  • Conduct research using online media for experts, background searches, and case investigation.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of prior civil legal assistant experience supporting litigators in civil defense or plaintiff-oriented litigation.
  • Strong working knowledge of civil litigation and procedural deadlines.
  • Work ethic, diligence, and attention to detail.
  • Professionalism, civility, and respect.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Critical thinking skills, superior communication skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
