Job Title: Plaintiff Paralegal

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plaintiff Paralegal to join our team at AGG Legal Staffing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting our lawyers in all stages of litigation, providing exceptional support to our trial team in a fast-paced civil litigation firm.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and coordinate complex litigation files, ensuring timely completion of tasks and deadlines.
  • Under attorney direction, draft correspondence, pleadings, and discovery, and communicate effectively with clients, experts, and defense counsel.
  • Proactively monitor files and escalate/prioritize issues requiring attorney involvement to avoid calendaring conflicts and completion of multiple simultaneous deadlines.
  • Prepare binders for mediations, depositions, and trials, including exhibit and trial binders for final status conferences and trials.
  • Organize and analyze discovery and documentary evidence, including medical records, DME reports, depositions, discovery, investigative, and other documents.
  • Review, interpret, and prepare medical chronologies and summaries of medical records and deposition testimony.
  • Prepare and handle tracking and disposition of subpoenas or other requests for information, including maintaining indexes of records received, when, and whether summarized.
  • Ensure the organization of files, including maintenance and management of all documents, including creating, maintaining, and updating indices, chronologies, witness lists, and witness files.
  • Conduct research using online media for experts, background searches, and case investigation.
Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of prior civil legal assistant experience supporting litigators in civil defense or plaintiff-oriented litigation.
  • Strong working knowledge of civil litigation and procedural deadlines, including pre-trial deadlines of demands for experts, exchange of experts, and fact and expert discovery cut-offs.
  • Work ethic, diligence, and attention to detail.
  • Professionalism, civility, and respect.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Requires critical thinking skills, superior communication skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
