Virginia Family Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Group Facilitator to join our Addiction Recovery Treatment Services team. As a Group Facilitator, you will play a crucial role in the recovery journey of young individuals struggling with substance use disorders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate Engaging Group Sessions: Lead daily group sessions using our structured curriculum, designed to engage and support participants.
- Maintain a Supportive Environment: Create a high-energy and enthusiastic group environment, promoting a sense of community and motivation among participants.
- Conduct Intake Process: Conduct drug screenings and assist with individual orientations as part of the intake process.
- Document Progress: Enter group progress notes and maintain Individual Service Plans (ISPs).
- Submit Reports: Prepare and submit quarterly reports on client progress.
- Ensure Accurate Chart Maintenance: Maintain accurate and timely electronic chart maintenance and participate in audits as required.
Certification and Experience Requirements:
- Certification: Must be certified in Virginia as either a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor-Supervisee (CSAC-S) or a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC).
- Experience: Experience working with individuals with substance use disorders, with a preference for those with mental health disorders.
- Skills: Proficient computer skills, strong organizational and communication abilities.
Work Schedule:
- Interim Training Hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday-Friday.
- Regular Hours Post-Training: 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Monday-Friday.
