Job Title: Behavioral Health Care Coordinator

At UnitedHealth Group, we are committed to helping people live healthier lives and making the health system work better for everyone. We are seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Health Care Coordinator to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide care management services to members, including coordination of care and behavioral health consulting.
  • Serve Kansas Medicaid members telephonically (primarily) with some field responsibilities as needed.
  • Provide behavioral health education, coaching, and treatment decision support for members.
  • Assess and interpret customer needs and requirements.
  • Identify solutions to non-standard requests and problems.
  • Assess the current behavioral health status of members.
  • Identify and prioritize gaps in care to develop a plan of care to empower members to meet identified goals.
  • Coordinate transitions between various areas of care.
  • Obtain information from providers and coordinate services amongst provider groups.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or Marriage and Family Counseling; OR Licensed Ph.D.; OR Registered Nurse.
  • Active, unrestricted, mental health license to practice in the State of Kansas (LP, LPC, LCP, LCPC, LMSW, LSCSW, LMFT, LCMFT, or an RN with 2+ years of experience in behavioral health).
  • Ability to serve Kansas Medicaid members telephonically (primarily) with some field responsibilities as needed.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, and internet).
  • Dedicated workspace and access to high-speed internet via cable/DSL/fiber service in your home.
  • Access to reliable transportation and the ability for some field-based travel in the service delivery area.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Case Management experience.
  • Dual diagnosis experience with mental health and substance abuse.
  • Experience working in an environment that required coordinating benefits and utilizing multiple groups and resources for patients.
  • Experience working with the Medicaid patient population.
