Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including repairs and replacements of building systems, equipment, and fixtures.
  • Conduct inspections and troubleshoot issues with plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
  • Operate and maintain a variety of mechanical tools, equipment, and hand tools required for carpentry, plumbing, and maintenance skills.
  • Assist in the maintenance of grounds, including snow removal, weeding, and trash collection.
  • Drive a company vehicle to pick up local equipment and supplies.
  • Ensure the efficient use of materials and maintain adequate stock of necessary equipment.
  • Keep company vehicles and equipment properly serviced, clean, and in good working order and condition.
  • Complete invoices and weekly reports as required.
  • Replace and repair building finishes, such as ceiling tiles, door hardware, wall paint, and floors.
  • Troubleshoot, evaluate, and make recommendations to upgrade maintenance operations and/or implement savings opportunities.
  • Respond immediately to emergency situations and customer service requests as assigned.
  • Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment for unsafe or malfunctioning conditions, preventative maintenance, etc.
  • Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency, and Company directives as related to building operations and practice safe work habits.

Requirements

  • Industrial facilities maintenance experience: 3 years (Required)
  • Skilled tradesman with 10 years of experience and training in general maintenance work, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, etc.
  • Ability to read and interpret sketches, drawings, diagrams, and blueprints.
  • Proven ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Ability to stand, kneel, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in a fast-paced environment.
