Job Summary

Pye Barker Fire and Safety LLC is seeking a highly skilled Fire Alarm Inspector to join our team. As a Fire Alarm Inspector, you will be responsible for the proper installation, operation, and maintenance of fire alarm systems in commercial and residential buildings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Installation and Testing: Install or upgrade fire alarms in commercial and residential buildings, and test and repair alarm systems already in place.
  • Inspections and Reporting: Perform inspections to ensure alarms are installed according to code, and complete detailed inspection reports documenting any issues.
  • Communication and Customer Service: Report results of work completed in an accurate and timely manner, and provide excellent customer service to clients and colleagues.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Protect and maintain company equipment, including vehicles and related equipment, and perform routine maintenance tasks as needed.
  • Emergency Response: Respond to emergency service calls and work in a safe manner as outlined by company safety procedures.
Requirements:
  • Education and Certifications: NICET certification preferred, and knowledge of NFPA standards (including 70 and 72) a plus.
  • Experience and Skills: Experience with commercial and residential systems, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Physical Demands: The ability to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands or arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and lift and/or move heavy objects.
