Job Summary

Maxim Healthcare Services is seeking a novice nurse to join our team as a Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN). This is an entry-level position that offers a unique training opportunity for new grad LPNs and those with less than one year of experience.

About the Role

As a novice nurse, you will partner with an experienced Maxim nurse who will provide real-time feedback, training opportunities, and mentorship. You will gain hands-on experience by working 1-on-1 with a patient in the home setting, learning direct patient care, vent/trach/g-tube management, and critical thinking skills with the 24/7 support of the clinical supervising team.

Responsibilities
  • Utilize the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient/client care and/or contracted services
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, as well as, monitor and document effectiveness of intervention and progress toward established goals
  • Intervene as applicable to changes in condition and report such changes to appropriate supervisor and/or physician
  • Document all physician collaboration/coordination of care in the medical record and communicate this information as needed
  • Monitor the safety and effectiveness of the environment and equipment, including universal precautions
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Active LPN/LVN License
  • Current CPR
  • PPD or chest X-Ray if applicable
