Azure Network Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Azure Network Specialist to assist with a high-priority project involving the setup of site-to-site VPNs and routing traffic through Azure firewalls. The goal is to ensure secure and efficient connections between external partners and our network while maintaining robust security and optimal network performance.
Key Responsibilities:
VPN Configuration:
Design, configure, and implement site-to-site VPNs in Azure to connect external partners with our network. Ensure secure and efficient routing of traffic between partner networks and internal systems through Azure.
Azure Firewall Setup:
Configure and manage Azure firewalls to route traffic effectively and securely. Implement policies to route traffic from external partners via non-private IP addresses. Ensure compliance with security protocols and best practices for network traffic.
Traffic Routing and Network Management:
Design traffic routing strategies that align with business and security requirements. Optimize network performance, ensuring low-latency and high-reliability connections for partner integrations. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to traffic routing, firewall configurations, and VPN setups.
Security and Compliance:
Ensure that all network configurations and traffic routing adhere to industry-standard security protocols. Implement necessary security measures to protect data integrity and confidentiality during partner connections.
Documentation and Knowledge Transfer:
Document all configurations, network designs, and processes related to the project. Provide detailed handover documentation and knowledge transfer to the internal IT team for ongoing support and management.
Requirements:
Proven experience with Microsoft Azure Networking, including VPN setup and Azure firewalls. Strong knowledge of site-to-site VPN configurations and traffic routing in cloud environments. Expertise in Azure Firewall and Azure Virtual Network configuration. Experience with IP addressing schemes and managing traffic routing for external partners. Strong understanding of network security protocols and best practices for firewall management. Excellent troubleshooting skills to quickly resolve network issues. Ability to manage time-sensitive projects with high attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
Azure certifications such as Azure Network Engineer Associate or Azure Solutions Architect. Familiarity with BGP (Border Gateway Protocol) for routing optimization. Experience working with external vendors and partners to implement secure network connections.
