Job Title: Child Nutrition Program Worker 6 Hour

Job Summary:

The Child Nutrition Program Worker 6 Hour is responsible for preparing, serving, and distributing meals to HCS students, staff, and others consistent with mandated nutritional and dietary requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the provision of safe, efficient, and high quality food services for the school district.
  • Prepare, serve, and distribute food and beverages in accordance with established school kitchen procedures.
  • Adhere to USDA standards, including the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act, and mandated nutritional and dietary requirements of the National School Lunch Program, the Child and Adult Care Food Program, and the Summer Food Service Program.
  • Maintain food preparation, service, and storage areas in an organized and sanitary manner.
  • Operate food service equipment in a safe and skillful manner.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of the ninth grade.
  • One (1) year of experience in food service preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Requires exerting 20-50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10-25 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly.

Terms of Employment:

Nine month year. Salary as recommended by the Superintendent and approved by the Board.
