Position Overview As a Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician E Shift, you will be stationed at **A. O. Smith Corporation**. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the upkeep of various industrial machinery, with a significant emphasis on electrical systems and controls.

  • Compensation: Starting pay at a minimum of **$27.85/hour ($26.85/hr + $1/hr shift differential)**, with opportunities for increased earnings based on your experience.
  • Sign-On Bonus: Eligible for a **$1500 sign-on bonus**, distributed at specified intervals based on attendance criteria.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to production work orders for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining manufacturing and facility equipment across various processes.
  • Assist Multi-Craft Maintenance Technicians with electrical control, motion control, Vision Camera, robotic, and PLC equipment.
  • Prioritize preventive maintenance of electrical cabinets, PLC/Robot/Drive Backups.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of A. O. Smith's product specifications and quality standards to ensure operational procedures are upheld and quality issues are swiftly resolved.
  • Ability to lift up to 100 pounds at a time, including 50lbs overhead, and maintain continuous walking and standing throughout the shift.
  • Ensure the timely completion of all assigned work orders.

Qualifications:

  • **Journeyman or equivalent certification is preferred**.
  • A minimum of five years of relevant experience in the specified responsibilities.
  • Must possess a complete set of maintenance tools.
  • Proficient in pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical systems, PLCs, and robotics.

Education Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED is required. Trade School Degree is preferred.

Experience:

At least 5 years of related work experience is necessary.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must wear necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as steel-toe shoes/boots, ear, and eye protection.
  • Regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds with assistance.
  • Regular activities will involve walking, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crawling, and effective communication.
