Position Overview

As a key member of the Bert Ogden Auto Group, we are seeking a dedicated Facilities Operations Manager to ensure the optimal functioning of our facilities and grounds. Candidates with a background in facility management or relevant experience are encouraged to apply. A strong understanding of various facility systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and landscaping is essential. Proficiency in utilizing a range of maintenance tools and equipment is required. This role primarily focuses on preventative maintenance while also addressing larger repair needs as they arise. Familiarity with safety protocols for handling chemicals is necessary.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify maintenance needs
  • Oversee electrical and plumbing systems to ensure they are functioning properly
  • Manage landscaping upkeep to maintain aesthetic appeal
  • Administer the maintenance budget effectively
  • Assist in the development of enhanced maintenance strategies
  • Coordinate with external vendors for significant repair projects
  • Perform additional tasks as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Associate degree or vocational certification is preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Prior maintenance experience is advantageous
  • Technical expertise in carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, and other essential systems

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Possession of a valid Texas Driver's license
  • Ability to pass a hair follicle drug screening
  • Successful completion of a background investigation
