Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate LVN Charge Nurse to join our team at Hidalgo Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Edinburg, TX. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality care for our residents.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular rounds to assess and document resident condition, identifying and reporting any changes or concerns.
  • Implement care plans as directed, ensuring the provision of quality care that promotes the physical, mental, and psychological well-being of each resident.
  • Administer medications as prescribed, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with facility policies.
  • Collaborate with physicians to develop and implement individualized care plans, documenting visits and updates in clinical records.
  • Perform narcotic reconciliation and oversee aides, ensuring seamless care delivery and maintaining a safe and respectful environment.
  • Initiate and complete Incident and Accident Reports as needed, adhering to facility policies and procedures.
  • Discharge residents in accordance with facility policy, ensuring a smooth transition to the next level of care.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare teams, providing updates and status reports as needed.
Requirements
  • Active Licensed Vocational Nurse in the state of Texas in good standing.
  • Experience working in a skilled nursing facility is preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
