Job Title: LVN Charge Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate LVN Charge Nurse to join our team at Windsor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Edinburg. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality care for our residents.

Job Summary:

The LVN Charge Nurse will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the nursing unit, ensuring that all residents receive high-quality care that promotes their physical, mental, and psychological well-being. This includes assessing resident conditions, implementing care plans, administering medications, and conducting rounds with physicians.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Observe, assess, document, and report resident condition/changes during rounds
  • Assure implementation of care plans as directed by physicians and facility policies
  • Administer medications as prescribed by physicians
  • Conduct rounds with physicians and record visits in clinical records
  • Perform narcotic reconciliation with incoming and outgoing shifts
  • Identify significant changes in resident conditions and take necessary action per facility policies and procedures
  • Oversee and monitor aides to ensure high-quality care
  • Initiate and complete Incident and Accident Reports per facility policy
  • Discharge residents per facility policy
  • Communicate with resident's point of contact when they ask for a status update or if there is a change in condition
Qualifications:
  • Has completed an LVN program at an accredited vocational school or college
  • Must be an active Licensed Vocational Nurse in the state of Texas in good standing
  • Experience working in a skilled nursing facility is preferred
