Diabetes Education Specialist Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) or RD and CDE to join our Diabetes Education team. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with Endocrinology providers and Primary Care providers to provide comprehensive diabetes education and management services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-on-one consultation for patients on diabetes devices
  • Develop and implement Diabetes Self-Management Education and Medical Nutrition Therapy programs
  • Teach diabetes classes and provide education to patients and caregivers
  • Document patient interactions and progress in Epic
  • Collaborate with the diabetes education team to develop a comprehensive diabetes device program
Requirements:
  • Current registration and certification (RD and CDE) or CDCES
  • AHA-BLS certification
  • Bachelor of Science or Master's degree in a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in diabetes self-management education, medical nutrition therapy, and diabetes management
  • Knowledge of diabetes management and various diets for medical nutrition therapy
