    • Develop and deliver didactic and clinical experiences for students that align with course goals and objectives.
    • Represent UnityPoint Health in a positive manner while interacting with faculty, staff, students, and other customers.
    • Enhance personal and professional development through continuing education and stay current with educational policies, technical areas of expertise, and clinical policy.
  • Student Engagement
    • Instruct and evaluate students in the classroom using effective educational methodologies and technologies.
    • Coordinate student didactic and clinical instruction while maintaining technical expertise in clinical areas of instruction.
  • Performance Criteria
    • Demonstrate UnityPoint Health values and standards of behavior, adhere to policies and procedures, and maintain a safe work environment.
    • Meet business needs of the department with regular and reliable attendance.
    • Maintain current licenses and certifications required for the position.
    • Practice and reflect knowledge of HIPAA, TJC, DNV, OSHA, FERPA, TITLE IX, and other federal/state regulatory agencies guiding higher education and healthcare.
    • Complete all annual education and competency requirements within the calendar year.
    • Support the vision, mission, and values of UnityPoint Health.
Qualifications
  • Education
    • Master's degree with a minimum of 18 graduate-level credit hours in the discipline being taught from a regionally accredited academic institution.
  • Experience
    • 2 years of healthcare experience.
    • Previous teaching experience is preferred.
