Position Overview

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking a dedicated academic general obstetrician-gynecologist to enhance the Division of Obstetrics and Gynecology. The rank and track of the position will be determined based on the candidate's academic achievements and professional experience.

Role Responsibilities

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is looking for an exceptional obstetrician-gynecologist for a full-time role within the division. This position presents a unique opportunity to broaden the department's service offerings. Ideal candidates will be board-certified or eligible physicians with a passion for resident education and direct patient care in an academic environment. Responsibilities include:

  • Supervising resident continuity clinics and the gynecology teaching service.
  • Providing in-hospital gynecologic consultations.
  • Actively participating in medical student education.

The division operates a robust faculty practice across multiple outpatient sites and a labor and delivery facility, comprising a team of 20 obstetrician-gynecologists, 3 gynecologists, and 7 nurse-midwives. Faculty expertise spans various areas, including minimally invasive surgery, family planning, vulvar disease, menopause, pediatric and adolescent gynecology, and breastfeeding.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO or equivalent degree.
  • Successful completion of an accredited residency training program.
  • Licensure from the State of Ohio Medical Board.
  • Board certification or eligibility by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
