Residential Peer Support Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Peer Support Specialist to join our team at True North Recovery Inc. Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in addiction recovery and a passion for helping others achieve sobriety.
Key Responsibilities- Assist residents with daily personal routines, including personal hygiene and minor medical needs.
- Provide companionship and establish trusting relationships with residents.
- Ensure residents are taking prescribed medication as directed.
- Report any concerns or medical issues to management.
- Maintain a safe and organized living environment for residents.
- Keep records of resident activity, behavior, and moods.
- Lead group activities and outings.
- Perform reasonable requests from residents.
- Collaborate with management and coworkers to ensure residents receive high-quality care.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Lived experience in addiction recovery with a minimum of 6 months' continuous sobriety.
- Valid Alaska driver's license and commercial automobile insurance.
- First aid and CPR training preferred.
- Friendly, positive, and professional attitude.
- Strong emotional intelligence and listening skills.
- Ability to pass alcohol and drug screen.
- Basic understanding of substance abuse level of care as defined by ASAM.
- Oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and schedule work.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Working knowledge of HIPAA.

- Provide support.
