About the Team:
The Featured Merchant Algorithm (FMA) aims to deliver the premier offer evaluation experience, ensuring that Amazon customers encounter the most relevant and appealing offers at every stage of their shopping journey. Our mission is to simplify the decision-making process for shoppers while fostering competition among various programs and offers.
We are a diverse team of Scientists, Economists, Engineers, and Designers committed to realizing this vision. Our work encompasses modeling customer purchasing behavior, advanced simulations, experimentation, evaluation, and compliance, utilizing a wide range of machine learning, statistical, and econometric methodologies.
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in developing machine learning models for business applications.
- PhD or Master's degree with at least 6 years of applied research experience.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C++, or Python.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with modeling tools including R, scikit-learn, Spark MLLib, MxNet, TensorFlow, numpy, and scipy.
- Familiarity with large-scale distributed systems like Hadoop and Spark.
- Background in applied research.
