Job Title: Industrial Mechanic Supervisor

Balcones Recycling is seeking a highly skilled Industrial Mechanic Supervisor to join our team in Jersey City, NJ. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for leading maintenance systems, overseeing the continuous improvement of processes, and executing long-term strategic plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead maintenance teams to ensure efficient repair schedules and review repair cost estimates
  • Coordinate work performed by outside vendors and ensure compliance with OEMs and regulatory agencies operating standards
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance works order procedures
  • Ensure proper equipment lubrication in compliance with OEMs lubrication schedule
  • Develop familiarity with and ensure compliance with safety, health, environment, and community company policies and procedures
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Technical School Preferred
  • Previous supervisory skills in a diverse, fast-paced manufacturing/production environment
  • Excellent mechanical ability and strong analytical skills
  • Demonstrated ability to follow procedures and work from a set of written instructions
  • Basic computer skills
  • Must speak and understand English; Spanish speaking is a plus
  • One year minimum mechanical repair related experience in a heavy industrial setting or equivalent combination of education and experience

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.

The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; and outside weather conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to high, precarious places and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
