Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Dietitian to join our team at MultiCare Health System. As a Clinical Dietitian, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality medical nutrition therapy to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement nutrition services and medical nutrition therapy using established standards of care and practice protocols/guidelines.
  • Work closely with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to provide medical nutrition therapy and services that are integrated and compatible with the patient's medical program goals and objectives.
  • Provide high-quality, evidence-based, efficient, customer-focused medical nutrition therapy, including nutrition screening, assessment, care planning, and education for appropriate nutrition intervention.
  • Recommend and help manage specialized nutrition support for patients when appropriate.
  • Communicate and coordinate with physician and other healthcare personnel as needed on the nutrition care plan of the patients.
  • Evaluate the need for medical nutrition therapy education and develop a plan based on learning needs and evaluate the effectiveness of the education process. Includes family or others in the process as identified necessary.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness and measures progress towards outcomes of medical nutrition therapy interventions. Reassess nutrition care process and implement changes as indicated.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in nutrition or a related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Washington State (DOH) Dietitian Certification required.
  • Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics).
  • Minimum Two (2) years clinical dietetics experience preferred.
  • Outpatient medical nutrition therapy experience preferred.
  • Board Certification in Oncology preferred.
