Clinical Dietitian

MultiCare Health System is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Dietitian - Oncology to join our team in Spokane, Washington.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing nutrition services and medical nutrition therapy using established standards of care and practice protocols/guidelines. This role will work closely with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to provide medical nutrition therapy and services that are integrated and compatible with the patient's medical program goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality, evidence-based, efficient, customer-focused medical nutrition therapy, including nutrition screening, assessment, care planning, and education for appropriate nutrition intervention.
- Recommend and help manage specialized nutrition support for patients when appropriate.
- Communicate and coordinate with physician and other healthcare personnel as needed on the nutrition care plan of the patients.
- Evaluate the need for medical nutrition therapy education and develop a plan based on learning needs and evaluate the effectiveness of the education process. Includes family or others in the process as identified necessary.
- Evaluate the effectiveness and measures progress towards outcomes of medical nutrition therapy interventions. Reassess nutrition care process and implement changes as indicated.
- Bachelor's degree in nutrition or a related field from an accredited college or university.
- Washington State (DOH) Dietitian Certification required.
- Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics).
- Minimum Two (2) years clinical dietetics experience preferred.
- Outpatient medical nutrition therapy experience preferred.
- Board Certification in Oncology preferred.
