Clinical Nutrition Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Dietitian to join our team at MultiCare Health System, Inc. As a Clinical Dietitian, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing nutrition services and medical nutrition therapy using established standards of care and practice protocols/guidelines.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement nutrition services and medical nutrition therapy using established standards of care and practice protocols/guidelines.
- Work closely with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to provide medical nutrition therapy and services that are integrated and compatible with the patient's medical program goals and objectives.
- Provide high-quality, evidence-based, efficient, customer-focused medical nutrition therapy, including nutrition screening, assessment, care planning, and education for appropriate nutrition intervention.
- Recommend and help manage specialized nutrition support for patients when appropriate.
- Communicate and coordinate with physician and other healthcare personnel as needed on the nutrition care plan of the patients.
- Evaluate the need for medical nutrition therapy education and develop a plan based on learning needs and evaluate the effectiveness of the education process.
- Includes family or others in the process as identified necessary.
- Evaluate the effectiveness and measures progress towards outcomes of medical nutrition therapy interventions. Reassesses nutrition care process and implements changes as indicated.
- Bachelor's degree in nutrition or a related field from an accredited college or university.
- Washington State (DOH) Dietitian Certification required.
- Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics).
- Minimum Two (2) years clinical dietetics experience preferred.
- Outpatient medical nutrition therapy experience preferred.
- Board Certification in Oncology preferred.
