Job Summary

  • Deliver food and supplies from the kitchen to various areas as needed, following department procedures and protocols.
  • Collect patient trays and carts, returning them to the kitchen after each meal.
  • Assist with dish scraping and sorting, ensuring cleanliness and efficiency.
  • Set up workstations, ensuring all necessary items are available before the start of the line.
  • Break down workstations and clean areas after meals, maintaining a safe and hygienic environment.
  • Inform the assistant manager of supply needs and notify supervisors of unavailable items.

Key Responsibilities

  • Portion and assemble hot and cold food for patient trays according to departmental recipes and dietary prescriptions.
  • Maintain proper portion control within departmental guidelines.
  • Work tray line stations, reading patient tray tickets and placing items accordingly.

Requirements

  • 6 months general work experience, preferably in a food service setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow instructions, both oral and written.
  • Basic understanding of English language to interpret patient menus and department memos.
  • Efficient eye-hand coordination and ability to read tray tickets swiftly.
  • Effective verbal communication skills for greeting customers and responding to inquiries.

Compensation

The estimated salary for this role is $40,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
