Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Instrument Technician to join our team at the Truman VA Medical Center. As an Echocardiography Technician, you will work closely with the cardiology team to provide high-quality ultrasound imaging of the heart for cardiac diagnostic testing.

Responsibilities
  • Perform echocardiograms, transesophageal echocardiograms, and stress echocardiograms
  • Work with cardiologists, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care to cardiac patients
  • Participate in quality improvement activities to enhance patient care and outcomes
  • Inventory and coordinate supplies necessary for echocardiograms
  • Ensure timely transfer of diagnostic images to the reporting server
  • Operate diagnostic equipment to provide high-quality imaging of the heart and associated structures
Requirements
  • United States citizenship
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English
  • Basic and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certifications
  • Registration by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) or American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
