About the Role

Orlando Health is seeking a skilled Surgical Tech to join our team at Orlando Regional Medical Center. As a Surgical Tech, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile environment, and providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Verify case carts and maintain a clean and organized surgical field.
  • Pass instruments and supplies efficiently to the surgeon, anticipating and prioritizing their needs.
  • Participate in sponge, needle, and instrument counts, and maintain surgical specimens for pathology evaluation.
  • Assist in ordering and stocking specialty supplies, and transport items, equipment, and medications throughout the facility.
Qualifications
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Successful completion of a Surgical Technology training program or Orlando Health Training Program.
  • Maintain current BLS/HealthCare Provider certification.
  • Minimum one year of Surgical Tech experience required.
