ROLE SUMMARY

To deliver exceptional patient care, the Surgical Technologist Coach collaborates with clinical teams to develop and implement education programs for Surgical Technologists and Surgical Anesthesia Technicians.

The Coach serves as a role model in advancing patient outcomes and promotes a culture of quality and safety.

This role requires strong leadership and communication skills to facilitate staff development and training.

The Surgical Technologist Coach evaluates staff competency and provides timely feedback to ensure safe and effective patient-centered care.

By employing adult learning principles, the Coach designs and delivers engaging educational activities that cater to diverse learning styles.

This position actively contributes to the management team's efforts to ensure staff competency and participation in continuing education.

The Coach maintains a commitment to providing ongoing educational opportunities for professional growth and serves as a valuable resource for surgical technologists and SATs at all stages of their development.

Collaboration with department leaders is essential in selecting and hiring new and transferring associates.

The Surgical Technologist Coach develops networks and partnerships to enhance the profession and serves as a valuable resource.

By performing learning needs assessments, the Coach promotes safe patient-centered care, standardizes practice, and drives process changes.
