Job Title: Client Device Specialist

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Client Device Specialist to join our team at OSF HealthCare. As a Client Device Specialist, you will provide technical support and assistance with computer systems, hardware, and software to our staff and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide basic technical troubleshooting and assistance with OSF computer systems
  • Assist staff requests to resolve basic computer problems for clients in person, via telephone or remotely
  • Provide assistance with the use of computer hardware, software, printing, adds/moves/changes, and installations
  • Troubleshoot Service Requests and Incidents with business and clinical applications, office productivity suite, electronic mail, and various operating systems
  • Escalate concerns to higher-level technicians as appropriate when unable to provide resolution
  • Maintain simple inventory control and asset management

Qualifications:

  • Experience: A basic to intermediate level of computer information systems and application support knowledge normally acquired through completion of high school diploma/GED
  • 1 year of client device support experience
  • 1 year of field service computer support experience in a business environment or related experience
  • Other Skills/Knowledge: Ability to troubleshoot computer systems problems, ability to proficiently operate a personal computer and computer software programs necessary to carry out principal duties, ability to effectively communicate to technical and non-technical audiences, analytical skills necessary to diagnose basic to intermediate computer hardware/device, workstation operating systems, office automation software and business problems and apply information system technology for effective resolution, working knowledge of and basic troubleshooting of Microsoft applications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 year of client device support experience
  • 1 year of field service computer support experience in a business environment or related experience
  • Some form of technical accreditation in a related field
  • Experience in information technology customer service
  • Experience with key OSF applications/technology
