Position Overview:

The individual in this role is tasked with overseeing the cleanliness and upkeep of all dining and kitchen areas, ensuring that all food and beverage items are maintained to the highest standards. The efficiency, hygiene, and cost-effectiveness of operations should align with the overarching goals of the Food & Beverage department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster an inviting atmosphere that encourages guests to choose Hard Rock Cafe for their dining experience; actively engage in building and nurturing guest relationships while mentoring team members to deliver exceptional service.
  • Welcome each guest warmly and provide exemplary customer service.
  • Ensure all necessary food items are available to support a smooth operation.
  • Manage the setup and maintenance of food stations and self-service areas.
  • Transport food items from the kitchen to designated service areas.
  • Communicate with chefs regarding the availability of prepared food items.
  • Assist in food preparation and dishwashing, ensuring a constant supply of clean dishes and utensils.
  • Monitor and maintain appropriate temperatures for all food items in storage.
  • Preserve the presentation of food throughout service by adhering to sanitation standards, rotating items as necessary, and ensuring freshness.
  • Keep beverage stations stocked with all required drinks.
  • Complete all setup tasks punctually.
  • Maintain cleanliness and order in assigned areas and the kitchen as needed.
  • Support the main kitchen with the preparation of various dishes as required.
  • Stay informed about daily menu offerings.
  • Manage inventory by rotating and maintaining food supplies.
  • Utilize proper documentation for all food transfers to and from the kitchen.
  • Organize dinner plates, dessert plates, and bowls in their designated areas.
  • Properly store and rotate all food deliveries.
  • Organize dry goods at the start of each day.
  • Engage positively with guests to enhance their experience.
  • Clear tables promptly after guests finish their meals.
  • Oversee the cleanliness of 15-20 tables.
  • Transport dish carts to and from service areas.
  • Ensure cleanliness in server stations and the dining area.
  • Adhere to all cash handling protocols.
  • Remove dirty dishes and glassware from tables during and after each course.
  • Refill drinks as necessary.
  • Complete all opening and closing tasks efficiently.
  • Regularly check and clean equipment, ensuring compliance with maintenance protocols and reporting any needed repairs.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members across all departments.
  • Notify supervisors when supplies are running low.
  • Inform supervisors of any guest needs that may require special attention.
  • Consult with the supervisor on duty before concluding shifts.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Participate in training sessions as required.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Proficiency in reading and writing English is required.
  • One year of experience in guest service within a dining environment is preferred, particularly in a casino setting.
  • Must possess a valid Food Handlers Card, Liquor License, and IGC Badge while on duty.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must obtain and maintain all necessary licenses and certifications as mandated by federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Successful completion of a background check is required.
  • Must pass a drug screening.
  • Applicants must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
  • Availability to work on holidays and weekends, as well as flexible shifts, is essential.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Familiarity with relevant federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor, are essential for dealing with stressful situations.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for 50% of the shift, walk for 45%, and sit for 5%.
  • Capacity to work in noisy and smoke-filled environments.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, use hands to handle objects, and reach with arms and hands.

Must regularly lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
