Your Role in Making a Difference:

The Account Support Specialist position is essential in delivering vital assistance to the company's Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP) services by overseeing and managing client accounts, which includes scheduling, reporting, record-keeping, and reviewing claims/invoices. This role requires a meticulous individual with outstanding organizational abilities to ensure the efficient operation of the FBOP client base.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and schedule patient medical referrals to suitable providers, ensuring timely communication of appointment confirmations to site personnel.
  • Oversee Electronic Record Management Application scheduling functions for FBOP operations, including initial referral entry, appointment scheduling, patient information history, and completion status.
  • Maintain positive relationships with partner hospitals and specialty physician providers, ensuring accurate and timely payments, while communicating provider needs to the Network Development department.
  • Manage the patient appointment schedule for on-site clinics and emergency off-site situations, obtaining necessary documentation from clients monthly.
  • Communicate urgent issues, invoicing concerns, process enhancements, and client reporting to FBOP leadership and the client. Obtain and manage medical records from external providers and provide timely information to the client.
Qualifications & Requirements:

Education

  • College degree or relevant experience.

Experience

  • 2 to 5 years of professional experience, preferably in a medical or healthcare setting.
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication (verbal & written) and telecommunication skills are essential.
  • Responsible for frequent communications with Clinical Director, HSA, Health Records Assistant, hospitals, and specialty physician providers.
  • Superior organizational skills are required, with the ability to effectively multitask to coordinate patient appointment scheduling and manage daily calendars.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, particularly MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Must demonstrate excellent attention to detail and be comfortable working under tight deadlines.
